Milagros, Lessons, And A Little Embarrassment

Buenos días!
I hope you are all doing well, and this week was everything you needed it to be!
I can't even believe that it's already día de preparación again—time is going by so fast!
This week was amazing—so many milagros!

The first part of this week was pretty slow. We have had quite a few stomach issues, but they have all resolved. That meant we were home quite a bit. On Tuesday, the only thing we were able to go to was ward council, which was super weird. I was sitting there and realized that these people actually don't know who I am, and I'm really sitting in a random ward in Perú with these people I don't really know but adore with my whole heart.

Hermana Porter, our mission president’s wife, accompanied us on Wednesday for two hours. We visited the mother of our most recent convert, Ricardo. It was the sweetest lesson. She just said how grateful she was that Ricardo had found our church and how much she has seen him grow and change. It is truly a testimony to me of how the Savior truly does change lives if we will let Him.

I love being a missionary, but something I had to learn this week is that our job is to share the good news of Jesus Christ—that He lives, He loves, His church has been restored. The sad part is that many don't accept Him, and that's the most heartbreaking thing—to see them recognize the truth and still turn away.

Anyways... we left our keys in our house and handed out little Jesus cards for about three hours until someone with keys let us back in.

We had stake conference, which was amazing! The Spirit was so strong... I know I still don't know Spanish when my mission president calls me out in front of our entire stake in the middle of his talk... that was a little embarrassing.

Last night, we put four people on date for baptism. This familia is amazing! The Spirit is so strong in their lessons, and it's truly amazing to see them so excited about learning the gospel.

Read it.

Know that I love you all! Know that Jesus loves you, and He's got you!
