You Shouldn't Be This Happy

Hello all! I hope you all had a great week! I don't even know where to start because so much has happened... I guess I'll start from the beginning because I did a poor job last week.

My companions are amazing... they are both from the US. Hermana Mackay has one transfer left in her mission, so I'm trying to learn everything I possibly can from her. She loves the work so much and is so sad to be leaving. Hermana Hardy has been here for one transfer, so she is in training too. She's amazing and just a ray of sunshine.

I'm in an area called Los Postes, and I love it here so much. The ward is amazing and so supportive of our friends... speaking of friends, we had 11 come to church yesterday, which was just a huge miracle. It's truly inspiring to see these people sacrifice to come to church.

I love this work... apparently, the first few transfers here are supposed to be really rough. Most missionaries don't like Perú in the beginning. My trainer told me the other day that she is so surprised at how happy I am... but I just love it. I love the people; they love so openly. I love the music that is always playing. I love the motos.

Truly God has blessed me. I love this work. God's plan is perfect... it's perfect with Christ. He's at the center of it all.

So I made it to Perú, and genuinely I love it here so much! I love the people, the city, the dogs—I just do. I was anticipating not to, and I'm not sure why. But this week has been amazing. God truly works miracles, He still moves mountains, and He loves so unconditionally. Would You Go?

Ahhhh hello all!! This week flew by, and was so full of miracles! We had zone conference this week, which was amazing! We talked about finding the one and how far we would go to find the one. If the Lord asked you to go to the moon, would you go? This had me thinking a lot about my relationship with the Savior — how far would I go... apparently Perú... but how in tune am I with the Spirit to be led and find the people that the Lord has been preparing... I just have this little scripture I want to share. It's Alma 22:18: “O God,” he prayed, “Aaron hath told me that there is a God; and if there is a God, and if thou art God, wilt thou make thyself known unto me, and I will give away all my sins to know thee." I love this last part... I will give away all my sins to know thee... to know the Savior... to know His heart... to KNOW HIM.
