You Shouldn't Be This Happy

Hello all! I hope you all had a great week! I don't even know where to start because so much has happened... I guess I'll start from the beginning because I did a poor job last week. My companions are amazing... they are both from the US. Hermana Mackay has one transfer left in her mission, so I'm trying to learn everything I possibly can from her. She loves the work so much and is so sad to be leaving. Hermana Hardy has been here for one transfer, so she is in training too. She's amazing and just a ray of sunshine. I'm in an area called Los Postes, and I love it here so much. The ward is amazing and so supportive of our friends... speaking of friends, we had 11 come to church yesterday, which was just a huge miracle. It's truly inspiring to see these people sacrifice to come to church. I love this work... apparently, the first few transfers here are supposed to be really rough. Most missionaries don't like Perú in the beginning. My trainer told me the other...

PERÚ

So I made it to Perú, and genuinely I love it here so much! I love the people, the city, the dogs—I just do. I was anticipating not to, and I'm not sure why. But this week has been amazing. God truly works miracles, He still moves mountains, and He loves so unconditionally. I don't have much time, and I'll fill you all in more next week, but know I carry you all in my heart as I walk around Perú! Hermana Lefler

LAST WEEK

Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing well! This is my last week at the MTC! I can't believe it's already here. I leave for Perú on Tuesday, and I am so excited! At this point, you could say I dabble in Español. I can hold my own in a gospel conversation, but ask me about a birthday, playing cards, or sewing pants, and I have no idea what you're talking about, even though those are things that we talk about here quite a bit. Luckily, the reason I'm going to Perú is to share the gospel, so I guess I'll figure out the rest later. This week was packed full of classes and devotionals. I can't say I understood what was said in most of the classes, but the Spirit is always so strong. We have had a few hospital trips in our district this week. One elder split his lip with a trash can lid... supposedly there were ninjas. I miss the elders when they leave, but I love it when we get to hear their stories after they come back. Even in the short hours they are gone, they...

Jesus Loves You!

Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing well! This week has been filled with so many great and hard things. I have felt the Savior's love and spirit so strongly. This is truly a great work—one I believe is truly worth sacrificing for. I'm grateful for the opportunity to know my Savior, to know of His love, His gospel, and what a gift it is to me to know that He lives. I know He lives. I'm grateful to know my Heavenly Father, to know He loves me so much that He would make a plan for me to return to live with Him, to have access to His covenants and make those with Him, to bring myself closer to my Savior, and bind myself to Him. There is nothing like the love of someone who would give their life because they don't want you to hurt all alone. Truly we have need for a Savior. I love my Savior Jesus Christ. I love what He did for me. I love that we were given the opportunity to come here and experience joy, pain, sorrow, love, happiness, and trials. That through it all, He...
