LAST WEEK
Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing well! This is my last week at the MTC! I can't believe it's already here. I leave for Perú on Tuesday, and I am so excited!
At this point, you could say I dabble in Español. I can hold my own in a gospel conversation, but ask me about a birthday, playing cards, or sewing pants, and I have no idea what you're talking about, even though those are things that we talk about here quite a bit. Luckily, the reason I'm going to Perú is to share the gospel, so I guess I'll figure out the rest later.
This week was packed full of classes and devotionals. I can't say I understood what was said in most of the classes, but the Spirit is always so strong. We have had a few hospital trips in our district this week. One elder split his lip with a trash can lid... supposedly there were ninjas. I miss the elders when they leave, but I love it when we get to hear their stories after they come back. Even in the short hours they are gone, they experience so many miracles. This is truly the Lord's work, and He's in the details even when we don't realize it.
I've loved my time here at the MTC. I've come to know my Savior more fully. I've made friends who will be in my heart forever. I've eaten the worst food ever, so fingers crossed that the food in Perú is as good as they say...
As much as I've loved it here, I am beyond excited to actually share the gospel, to see it change people's lives the way it has mine. I love you all.
