What Do You Know About Fire Alarms
BUENAS!
Wow, this week went by so fast I can't even believe it! Once again, I am in shock of the way the Lord guides our lives as missionaries.
On the 19th, we had our plan and both of our backup plans fall through and decided to take a more relaxed way of contacting, and just get to know some people in the park. I kid you not guys, the first lady that we talked to was a miracle. She had been taught by missionaries previously and her información got lost when she moved. She was so excited to be talking with us, we ended up having a lesson with her right then and there. AND not one but 2 ladies from the ward ended up passing by and joined our lesson. God's truly got a plan. Sometimes we just can't see it right when we are in the middle of it. But every time I look back, I see the Lord guiding my every step. And that alone is a blessing.
I've had many people tell me that we as missionaries are angels, and we are sacrificing so much to be here, and how hard it must be to be without your family. And truly it is hard. It's hard to miss family things, hard to see friends together, hard to try and truly live in the moment. But what an amazing opportunity for me to be able to serve in this way. I had a friend tell me how special the mission is to her. How no one gets this experience. No one. Not even the people you serve with will have the same experience because it was made just for you. This really made me think about how this is also about our lives. No one. No one will have this same earthly experience that you will. No one will know the Savior in the way that you do... because it is yours. And what an amazing privilege that is for all of us. To know the Savior personally in a way no one else can even probably comprehend.
I'm grateful for this. For a Heavenly Father who knows me perfectly. For a Savior who was willing to do it all for me. For the honor to wear His name over my heart every day.
Don't you ever forget how much Jesus Christ loves you.
